American soap opera actress Andrea Evans is known for One life to live, passions, AND The brave and the beautiful died, aged 66.
She died at home in California, after losing her battle with breast cancer, her reps said.
“I have been working with Andrea for seven years. She was an amazing talent and a real pleasure to work with,” Evans rep Don Carroll confirmed.
Evans also played Tina Lord, once dubbed “Daytime’s Diva of Dirt”. One life to live from 1979-81 and 1985-90. However, she had to abruptly leave the soap after a stalker approached her in the studio lobby in 1987 and later sent her death threats, some written in her own blood.
Fear “changed me forever. There’s no way it’s not possible,” she once told People.
ON The young and the restless, played Patty Williams from 1983 to 1984 and Tawny for one episode in 2010.
Evans returned to the day world as Tawny Moore The brave and the beautiful in 1999-2000, then spent the next eight years as Rebecca Hotchkiss Passions from 2000 to 2008.
He also starred in 12 episodes of The bay from 2017 to 2020.
