Sweden wins the Eurovision Song Contest 2023

Swede Loreen won the Eurovision song contest in Liverpool with his song Tattoo.

Sweden scored 593 runs, becoming only the second act to win Eurovision twice, following Euphoria in 2012.

Finland’s Cha Cha Cha finished second with 526 points and Israel third with 362 points.

Australia’s Voyager scored 151 points to finish ninth. With 12 points from the Portuguese and Icelandic juries, Australia finished sixth in the jury vote, a strong result but only 21 points in televoting.

Australia were also voted winners of Semi Final 2.

Liverpool (and Ukraine) staged an electric show, hosted in part by Hannah Waddingham and Graham Norton.

Sydney singer Andrew Lambrou, representative of Cyprus, scored 126 points.

For the first time, televoting also included the ‘Rest of the World’ votes.

The Australian jury awarded 12 points to Belgium and televoting to Finland.
