Former professional cyclist Lance Armstrong, football player Marshawn Lynch, wrestler Ronda Rousey, comedian Natasha Leggero, comedian Christopher Mintz-Plasse, figure skater Adam Rippon, TV personality Tom Schwartz, football player Richard Sherman, actor Porsha Williams Guobadia, artist Tallulah Willis and actor Ariel Winter are currently filming Coober Pedy for Eureka Productions.
This quashes rumors and hopes of A-list stars in the South Australian city.
Host William Shatner assigns tasks to celebrity contestants, who will live, eat, sleep, strategize and bond with each other in the simulated space station. Each week, one celebrity will be eliminated until only one remains.
Up to 250 crews are working on the series, with locals welcoming the production boom in the region and rumors circulating about who’s in town.
The show will premiere on FOX in the US in June, but no Australian broadcaster has been announced.
