SBS gets on board the most punctual train in the world

There haven’t been many railroad titles on SBS of late (at least not first-run, prime-time titles).

But SBS recently acquired The most punctual train in the world a two-part series on Japanese Shinkansen bullet trains.

The Hokuriku Shinkansen takes its guests from the glittering, hypermodern metropolis of Tokyo to Kanazawa. The doco looks behind the scenes, is in the cockpit with one of the youngest Shinkansen pilots in the country, meets a wasabi farmer, visits wood carvers and sees how one of the last giant taiko drums in the world is created.

SBS has also picked up a 45-minute travel special Love & Dolce Vita: History of the Amalfi Coast more A cold war of spies (4×50′) including a 14-hour pack of content from German distributor Authentic Distribution.
