Phil said: “This show has been so amazing over the past seven weeks. I had the absolute time of my life. And, you know, it’s a competition but it doesn’t feel like it when you’re out here and you’re with all these amazing people, everybody dancing and having a good time together. It looks just like a family. It was an absolute joy to be a part of it.
“I also want to thank my family who were here tonight, my beautiful wife and children. But the biggest thanks for me has to go to Ash here. He brought out a side of me that I didn’t even know existed,” he continued.
“I had a great time teaching Phil to dance. I feel like I already won when I danced with Phil and it’s been an amazing journey. I loved every minute of it and I’m so, so proud of you,” Ash-Leigh said.
Produced by BBC Studios Australia, hosted by Daryl Somers and Sonia Kruger, the show was another winner for Seven with the eliminated cast Charlie Albone, Gavin Wanganeen, Issa Schultz, James Magnussen, Laura Byrne, Matt Preston, Pia Miranda and Sally Pearson.
