OzTAM CEO resigns

OzTAM CEO Doug Peiffer has announced his departure after 12 years at the helm, after informing the Board of his decision to step down.

During this time he oversaw the introduction of broadcast content online (BVOD) and the new Total TV database, VOZ.

OzTAM Non-Executive Chairman Mark Buckman said: “Doug has guided OzTAM through a period of transformation and significant change in which both technology and Australian media consumption patterns have changed dramatically.

“The OzTAM Board and I offer Doug our thanks and appreciation for his leadership and contributions and wish him every continued success in his career.”

Peiffer said, “I am incredibly proud of the evolution of OzTAM during my 12+ years as CEO in what has been a turbulent and challenging transition period for the media industry.

“Now, with the successful launch of VOZ and more than 12 years with the company, the time has come for me to hand over the reins to OzTAM’s new leadership. I thank my team for their incredibly hard work and support and look forward to their many future accomplishments.”

Peiffer’s last day will be July 1, 2023, and the Board had launched a search for a new CEO.

My thanks also to Doug for his connection with TV tonight and championing equity during this time, best wishes for the next steps!
