It was there before Varna the miniseries, there was Varnathe last variety show GTV9 ever produced at its now demolished Richmond studios.
The famous cricketer tried his hand at presenting in 2010. Along with Alicia Loxley (née Gorey), his series has interviewed Chris Martin of Coldplay, Sting, Dannii Minogue, James Packer, Michael ParkinsonsRussell Crowe and Richie Benaud.
But Nine canceled the show before its run ended.
So does Nine Varna miniseres also revisits its hosting of Varna?
“No, it hasn’t been touched,” said star Alex Williams TV tonight.
“There’s obviously a lot that we touch. It spins all over which is great and a good sense of nostalgia for all. But we couldn’t get to everything. We didn’t succeed varna, we didn’t succeed I’m a celebrity. Get me out of here.
“There are quite a few things that didn’t make it.”
Williams confirmed that the series doesn’t even recreate Warne’s death in Thailand in March 2022.
Varna the mini-series is shown at 7pm Sunday and 7.30pm Monday on Nine.
