Filming begins on NCIS: Sydney

The filming of the upcoming drama has begun NCIS: Sydney.

The Daily Mail Australia reports it the scenes were being filmed in North Bondi. Paparazzo photos showed Shawn Seet directing cast members without warning.

The first iteration of the hit series based outside the US, it’s being adapted for Paramount+ and Network 10 and was announced as launching in 2023 (it’s unclear if it will now move to 2024).

Chief Content Officer and Executive Vice President, ViacomCBS Australia and New Zealand, Beverley McGarvey, previously said: “We are thrilled to welcome the inaugural international series of NCIS extension to the Australian coast.

“It is such a privilege to be able to continue the legacy of such a wonderful show and incorporate the superior NCIS extension storytelling by introducing new Australian characters and places. We can’t wait to start production.”

The series is produced by CBS Studios in association with Endemol Shine Australia.
