Emma Alberici will return to ABC screens next week after leaving the network in 2020.

He returns to play a news anchor in a cameo appearance Queen of Oz, the new comedy by Catherine Tate in which a badly behaved royal, Princess Georgiana, is sent down.

Alberici was fired in ABC’s 2020 staff cuts two years after an economics column made headlines. He took his dismissal to the Fair Work Ombudsman and reached an agreement with the broadcaster.
Queen of Ozwhich also includes Rob Collins, Anthony Brandon-Wong and Robert Coleby.
