Call for entries: Screenplays that make up Mentorship

Call for entries: Screenplays that make up Mentorship

Applications are open for Screenworks Screen Composition Mentoring for two regional composers who identify as female or non-binary to develop their skills.

Composers Antony Partos and Caitlin Yeo will evaluate the shortlist of applications and choose their student. The parties will then meet to discuss mentoring needs and expectations.

Applications close on July 21, 2023.

Each of the selected entrants will receive one-on-one mentoring from one of Australia’s most established and respected screen composers, to help them build their confidence and ability to compose music for screen content. Upon completion of the program, each participant will receive $3000 to help them advance their career as a film composer.

Screenworks and APRA AMCOS recognize the need to address the gender imbalance within the Australian and New Zealand music industries. To help address significant underrepresentation, we will award both mentee opportunities to participants who identify as female or non-binary.

This program is supported by the Australian Guild Of Screen Composers.
