Call for entries: Screen NSW Slate Development Program

Screen NSW has launched the Slate Development Funding 2023 programme, providing up to $100,000 to support the NSW screen industry build a pipeline of local projects and drive greater diversity in representation.

Offers funding of up to $100,000 for a slate of three projects including TV Drama, Factual, Features, Online and Immersive Narrative, produced and/or post-produced in NSW.

Screen NSW chief Kyas Hepworth said: “By investing in a range of projects, this program supports NSW-based companies to triple their reach, enabling producers and creatives to focus on developing stunning content, made in NSW.

“Screen NSW’s vision is for a diverse and inclusive film industry, which is reflected in the stories they tell and the people who tell them. Our aim for this program is to promote greater representation in the NSW screen industry.”

NSW production companies with a proven track record and ability to finance, produce and publish a slate of three projects, along with a commitment to fostering talent from under-represented groups, are encouraged to apply.

To be eligible, each proposed project must include a Key Creative identifying a woman and at least one Key Creative from the following groups: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD), People with Disabilities, LGBTQIA+, Living in western Sydney or regional NSW.
