British broadcaster Channel 4 has severed relations with Escape to the castle starring Dick and Angel Strawbridge.
Channel 4 has now ordered an independent investigation into their conduct, but the reasoning is unclear.
Concerns were originally raised by production company Two Rivers Media that they will no longer be working with the couple, Expiration reports.
Two Rivers said: “We can confirm we will no longer be working with Dick and Angel and cannot comment further at this time.”
A Channel 4 spokeswoman said: “Following a review, we have made the decision not to work with Dick and Angel on any new productions in the future.”
The Strawbridges have yet to comment on the claims. A representative of the couple has previously refuted the allegations of improper behavior.
The ninth and final season was screened in the UK in December.
Several spin-off series were in the works, including a travel show Escape to the Castle: Secret France, which is finished and is currently being edited. Channel 4 has yet to confirm if it will be broadcast.
Dick and Angel Strawbridge toured Australia and New Zealand in February/March.
Escape to the castlerecently screened in Australia on Nine.
