Ausfilm Honored at Inaugural Global Production Awards

Film attraction government agency Ausfilm was honored at the inaugural Global Production Awards.

Launched by UK publications Screen, KFTV and Transmissionthe awards celebrate the outstanding and sustainable work of film and television production, locations and studios from around the world.

Ausfilm won the Film Commission Team Award, which recognizes a commission with a strong international reputation for exemplary service to productions.

“I’ve worked with companies that have gone to Australia and complimented Ausfilm a lot as an organization,” said one judge.

See-Saw Films Apple TV+ Drama The Essex snake won the Outstanding Use of Locations – Film or TV Series award, for a production that demonstrated creative use of a location.

NBCUniversal and its affiliates, including Universal Filmed Entertainment Group and NBC Universal Television, were honored Monday with the Special Recognition Award at the inaugural Global Production Awards, for the studio’s myriad efforts in the fields of sustainability, diversity and innovation around the world.

Sarajevo won the City of Film award, which honors a city that has helped international filmmakers and boosted the local economy.
