10 Shake to rename it as Nickelodeon Channel

10 Shake will change the Nickelodeon channel name to Channel 13 from Tuesday 1st August.

The multi-channel will feature a premium suite of Nickelodeon content on linear free-to-air television for the first time.

Jules Borkent, executive vice president, Kids & Family for International Markets at Paramount, said, “As the number one entertainment brand for children, Nickelodeon is home to the world’s most beloved characters and stories for children of all ages. We are thrilled to bring our vast library of content directly to fans in Australia for free as we launch this new Nickelodeon channel.

Daniel Monaghan, SVP Content & Programming, Paramount ANZ, said: “From worldwide television programming and production, to consumer products, digital, location-based experiences and events, gaming, publishing and feature films, Nickelodeon offers something for everyone and is now accessible to everyone on our free-to-air Nickelodeon channel.

But the move will also spell the end for Nickelodeon content on Foxtel.

A spokesperson for the Foxtel group said: “The way the public views content has changed in recent years. With a diverse pipeline of on-demand content available through our long-term studio partners around the world, third-party apps integrated into our Foxtel offering, and our growing focus on premium Australian originals, we’ve made the decision to make changes and our partnership with Viacom.”

Nick Jr.’s family favorites will kick off the daytime, with our heroic rescue pups from the powerhouse PAW Patrol preschool series, leading powerful missions for the morning run. Joining the pups will be much-loved preschool properties including Blue’s Clues & You!, Baby Shark’s Big Show!, Santiago Of The Seas, Bubble Guppies and Blaze and the Monster Machines. The exciting channel update will also welcome preschool series Bossy Bear and Season 3 of Ryan’s Mystery Playdate to their free-to-air debut.

For the afternoon’s backlash, our lovable SpongeBob SquarePants will be back for more underwater adventures, while audiences will be delighted with more comedy and action-adventures from familiar titles like The Loud House, The Thundermans, the original iCarly, The Casagrandes and Danger Force .

In addition, the Nickelodeon channel will premiere all new animated comedy series free-to-air for the first time, including Middlemost Post, The Smurfs, Monster High and Transformers: EarthSpark.
