2010 Muscogee (Creek) Nation Scholarship Pageant Date has been Set

Okmulgee, Ok - The Muscogee (Creek) Nation Pageant Committee has set the date for the 2010 Miss Muscogee (Creek) Nation Scholarship Pageant.  The date for the 2010 Scholarship Pageant is set for 7pm, Friday, June 4, 2010 at the Henryetta High School Auditorium.  Watch for the applications to be available on the Muscogee (Creek) Nation official Web site at www.muscogeenation-nsn.gov, or at the Muscogee (Creek) Nation Human Development Building.

This year, the pageant will comprised of only 2 categories which will include Miss Muscogee Nation (ages 17-22) and Junior Miss Muscogee Nation (ages 14-17).  These young ladies are presented with a unique opportunity to serve as royalty for the Muscogee (Creek) Nation and earn scholarships.  Eligible applicants may take pride in knowing they were hand-picked to represent the tribe as a "goodwill ambassador," while competing for scholarship.

Applicants must be at least one-fourth Creek and willing to appear at events throughout the year such as the Creek Nation Festival.  Depending on the age group, applicants must meet certain judging criteria, which are specified on the application.
