MUSCOGEE NATION NEWS

The Muscogee Nation News is a full-color, broad size publication consisting of two sections. It has a circulation of approximately 8,500 with an estimated readership of at least 21,250 based upon the standard 2.5 rate. It is sent by First Class mail on the first day of each month from Stigler, Okla., where it is printed. After it has gone to press, it is then sent to a mailing company who distributes the bundles to enrolled citizens’ households all over the U.S., upon request and proof of tribal citizenship.

The Communications Department meets the needs of the tribe and its citizens through the dissemination of relevant information. The publication features stories and photography done by staff reporters covering programs, services, special, community, church and ceremonial ground events through the official monthly news publication, the Muscogee Nation News.

Occasionally, the MNN may be misplaced during these processes. If you do not receive a copy of the newspaper, please notify Wilma Murphy by phone at (918) 732-7720 or by E-mail at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

The first Extra Edition of the Muscogee Nation News will go to press on Oct. 15, 2008.  This will make the Muscogee Nation News a semimonthly publication and we hope it will mean more and faster news to you, the reader.

“We strongly encourage citizens to submit story ideas, events and any news they may have in their communities. The people in every one of our communities from Duck Creek to Dustin are the fabric of our Nation and we want to tell their stories. By sharing what is happening in our lives with others, we can become a stronger, more unified Nation with the power to adapt and survive in the future.”

-Rebecca Landsberry
